Ein kurzer Abstecher nach El Burgo de Osma. Ein Spaziergang durch diese Stadt lohnt sich allemal. In der Calle Mayor, auf direktem Weg vom Rathaus zur Kathedrale, sind die Häuser auf der linken (ost) Seite mit Galerien versehen. Dies dient der Kühlung durch Schatten für die Geschäfte und Werkstätten. Die Gegend ist im Sommer sehr heiß.
Die mittelalterliche Kathedrale steht direkt an der alten Stadtmauer und der Puerta de San Miguel mit der anschließenden Puente de La Matilla o Puente Viejo. Von dort aus hat man einen schönen Blick auf den Berg mit der Burgruine von Osma.
Auf dem Rückweg noch einen Cortado auf der Paza Mayor zwischen Rathaus und Hospital de San Agustín.
A quick detour to El Burgo de Osma. A stroll through this town is definitely worth it. On Calle Mayor, the main street leading directly from the town hall to the cathedral, the houses on the left (east) side feature galleries. These provide shade to keep the shops and workshops cool. The area gets very hot in the summer.
The medieval cathedral stands right next to the old city wall and the Puerta de San Miguel, with the adjacent Puente de La Matilla (or Puente Viejo). From there, you have a beautiful view of the hill with the ruins of Osma Castle.
On the way back, enjoy a cortado at the Plaza Mayor, between the town hall and the Hospital de San Agustín.
