Zandvoort ist eine typische Geschichte vom Fischerdorf zum Touristenmagnet. Vielerorts zu finden und immer wieder mit der gleichen Auswirkung. Leer im Winter, übervoll im Sommer. Um dem ganzen noch mehr Pepp zu verleihen, werden gerne mal Vergnügungsparks in die Altstädte gesetzt und Formel 1 Rennstrecken daneben.
In den Rennzeiten sind kleinste Kammern für Monatsmieten im Angebot. Ob man sich darin noch bewegen kann, hängt von der Sportlichkeit der Mieter*innen ab. Nach den Gartenliegen erwartet der Rücken allerdings nach Physiotherapie.
In den restlichen Zeiten cruisen Imbissbuden und Eiswagen den Strand rauf und runter. Riesige Trecker ziehen die Buden über den nassen Sand. Das kulinarische Angebot setzt sich in die Altstadt fort. Hauptsächlich Pommes mit allerlei Soßen sind im Angebot. Anderes sucht man lange.
Wenn der Besucher am Strand sitzt und auf das blaue Meer schaut läßt er das alles hinter sich.

During the racing season, tiny rooms are available for monthly rent. Whether you can still move around in them depends on how athletic the tenants are. After lying on the garden loungers, however, your back will need physiotherapy.
The rest of the time, snack bars and ice cream trucks cruise up and down the beach. Huge tractors pull the stalls across the wet sand. The culinary offerings continue in the old town. Mainly fries with all kinds of sauces are on offer. You’ll have to search long and hard for anything else.
