Bis zum Horizont Reisfelder, daneben Zuckerrohranbau und einige wenige Getreidefelder. Rinder ziehen Pflüge durch die Erde oder die nassen Reissfelder, Frauen stehen bis zu den Knien im Wasser und setzen Reispflanzen. Traktoren sind nur wenige zu sehen, dafür um so mehr weiße Kuhreiher. Sie sind überall, wie bei uns die Krähen oder Tauben.

Cattle pull plows through the earth or the wet rice fields, women stand up to their knees in water and plant rice plants. There are only a few tractors to be seen, but all the more white cattle egrets. They are everywhere, like crows or pigeons here.
