Sachsen: Bus nach Leipzig
Taxi nach Leipzig war der erste Tatort Krimi im Westdeutschen Fernsehen. Damals noch eine Ost-West-Geschichte. Diesmal war allerdings der Bus das bevorzugte Transportmittel und diese Ost-West-Geschichte hat sich seit 30 Jahren erledigt. Im Oktober 1989 stand ich als Fotograf neben Kurt Masur auf dem Balkon der Oper gegenüber dem Gewandhaus und unten demonstrierten 100.000 Menschen gegen das DDR Regime, es war kalt und dunkel.
Heute ist Leipzig eine quirlige Metropole mit Geschäften, Verkehr, Musik und Kultur. Ein Ausflug lohnt sich allemal, wenn nicht sogar mehrere Tage.
Taxi to Leipzig was the first crime thriller on West German television. Back then it was still an East-West story. This time, however, the bus was the preferred means of transport and this East-West story has been over for 30 years. In October 1989, I was a photographer standing next to Kurt Masur on the balcony of the opera house opposite the Gewandhaus and 100,000 people were demonstrating below against the GDR regime, it was cold and dark.
Today, Leipzig is a lively metropolis with shops, transport, music and culture. It’s definitely worth a trip, if not several days.
